
Rooiberg winery requested the design of a label that would speak to the Western market who associates a greater quality wine to contemporary labels, while simultaneously being relevant to the Eastern market who assigns greater value to branding that celebrates the more classic gravitas of wine tradition. Considerations were to pull in nuances related to the iconic Rooiberg mountains that frame the picturesque wine estate. We also opted for cream or black labels in service of the Eastern market who is offended by the color white as culturally representing death.
